Grid Value & Flexibility
Methods v1.0 · updated 2026-08-28
What the existing connection is worth: published headroom nearby, flexibility products, and the evidence trail for an operator conversation.
Method
- Published operator capacity registers matched to the asset's area; each node carries provenance and register date.
- Connection value screened from headroom, voltage level and distance; flexibility products matched by market.
- No private queue data — the engine says what the registers say, dated, and drafts the operator RFI for the rest.
Data sources
- DSO/TSO published capacity and connection registers (retrieval date shown per source)
- National flexibility-market documentation
Limitations
- Registers lag reality; a dated figure is a conversation opener, not a reservation.
- Queue position and firm capacity exist only in the operator's study — the RFI path exists for exactly that.
- Screening result with labelled assumptions — not a bankable study, an engineering design, or investment advice.
- Site-specific facts the owner has not provided are filled with labelled, era- or country-typical defaults.
